Terms of Service
1. Agreement to these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Devansh Bhargava, operating MockMate ("MockMate", "we", "us"). By creating an account, taking an interview, or purchasing a plan, you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you use MockMate on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorised to bind that company.
2. The service
MockMate runs AI-powered interviews: it generates role-specific question sets, records candidates' answers on video, transcribes them, produces AI scores with written feedback, monitors interview integrity, and presents results on a dashboard with shareable reports. Features may evolve over time; we may improve, add, or retire features with reasonable notice for anything material.
3. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- Provide accurate account information and keep your login credentials confidential — activity under your account is your responsibility.
- One account may not be shared across multiple companies.
4. Plans, billing and refunds
- Practice — ₹799/month or ₹7,990/year: 10 practice interviews per month, for individual job seekers.
- Team — ₹3,999/month or ₹39,990/year: 30 candidate interviews per month.
- Business — ₹11,999/month or ₹1,19,990/year: 150 candidate interviews per month.
- Yearly billing includes two months free. Enterprise plans with custom limits are agreed separately in writing.
Prices are in Indian Rupees (INR); any USD amounts shown on the site are approximate references only. Payments are processed securely by Razorpay (UPI, cards, netbanking) — we never see or store your card or UPI details. International cards, where supported, are charged in INR and converted by your bank at its rate. Plans renew for the period you chose unless cancelled. Cancelling stops future billing — you keep access until the end of the paid period. Fees already paid are non-refundable, except (a) billing errors reported within 7 days, and (b) where a refund is required by law. Interview allowances reset each month and unused interviews do not roll over.
5. Free trial
Where a free trial is offered, no payment is taken during the trial. At the end of the trial, continued use requires a paid plan; we do not auto-charge without your explicit confirmation.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use MockMate for anything unlawful, deceptive, or harmful;
- Interview a person without a legitimate purpose (hiring, screening, or practice);
- Attempt to bypass, disable or interfere with interview integrity/proctoring features;
- Probe, scrape, reverse-engineer or resell the platform;
- Upload content that infringes others' rights or contains malware;
- Exceed plan limits through technical workarounds or duplicate accounts.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
7. Hiring teams' responsibilities
If you send interviews to candidates, you are the one with the relationship with those candidates. You agree to:
- Inform candidates that their interview will be recorded, transcribed and AI-scored before they take it (MockMate also asks for camera/microphone consent on-screen, but the primary duty to inform is yours);
- Have a lawful basis for processing candidates' data under applicable law (including India's DPDP Act, 2023, and the GDPR where it applies);
- Comply with employment and anti-discrimination laws in how you use interview results;
- Handle candidates' recordings responsibly and delete them when no longer needed.
8. AI outputs — important disclaimer
MockMate's scores, written feedback and verdicts are generated by AI models. They are designed to be decision support, not decisions:
- AI outputs can be imperfect or inconsistent; every score is delivered alongside the full transcript and recording so a human can verify it;
- You agree that a human being reviews results before any hiring or rejection decision is made, and that MockMate scores are never the sole basis for an employment decision;
- We make no guarantee that AI scores predict job performance.
9. Your content and our licence
You (or your candidates) own the content created on MockMate — job descriptions, question edits, recordings, transcripts. You grant us a limited licence to store, process and transmit this content solely to provide the service (including AI processing described in the Privacy Policy). We do not use your recordings for advertising or model training.
10. Our intellectual property
The MockMate platform, brand, design and software are our property. These terms grant you a right to use the service, not any ownership of it.
11. Availability
MockMate is provided "as is". We work to keep it reliable — including automatic recovery features like server-side re-transcription — but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and short maintenance windows may occur. We recommend candidates use a stable connection and a supported browser (latest Chrome or Edge).
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law: we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (including lost profits, lost hires, or lost data beyond our reasonable control), and our total liability for any claim is capped at the fees you paid to MockMate in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
13. Termination
You may stop using MockMate and cancel at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account for breach of these terms, unlawful use, or non-payment, with notice where practicable. On closure, your data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves. For material changes we will notify account holders by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date means acceptance.
15. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Delhi, India. Before going to court, both sides agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute informally by contacting devansh04356@gmail.com.
